The Kincardine & District Lions were chartered in June 1974, being sponsored by the Tiverton and District Lions Club. Membership varies with generally 60 members including both men and women with one Charter member still active within the club - Larry Bannerman. Since its Charter we estimate the Club's investment in the community to be over two million dollars. The club has been and is still very active within the community.
